Former My Bloomsbury Hotel Becomes the New Bedford Corner Hotel

The former My Bloomsbury hotel has been through an exciting refurbishment, and has now become Bedford Corner Hotel. If you are planning a trip to London we would love to welcome you through the doors, in the literary capital of London.

An enormous thank you to you all for supporting the hotel, and I hope you have made as many wonderful memories there as we have.

We are excited for you to experience the positive changes we are going through to enhance our guest’s experience with us. We will still continue to grow our current brands, The Pilgrm in Paddington & My Brighton on the beautiful Sussex coast, and as always you will receive a warm welcome and genuine hospitality.

The history of Bedford Corner Hotel

Bedford Corner Hotel — originally known as Bedford Head Hotel — was built in the 1870’s on the corner of Tottenham Court Road and Bedford Street. After being damaged in WW1, it was opened once again, now known as Bedford Corner Hotel, to welcome the sophisticated ladies and dapper gents of the roaring ‘20s, as well as the creative and literary VIP of the Bloomsbury Group.

Bedford Corner Hotel has operated in one form or another since then, although the building has also been home to banks and pubs.

While we can’t know for sure whether Virginia Woolf and Vanessa Bell ever whiled away the hours in Bedford, the façade with its distinctive signage would certainly have been a familiar sight as they went about their days.

Bedford Corner Hotel offers the chance for you to wander the same streets as some of England’s most famous creative minds, which is sure to be a source of inspiration.

Bedford Corner Hotel

Bedford Corner Hotel is a modern take on a heritage institution — a respectful reinterpretation of the original, which pays homage to its roots while looking firmly to the future.

A feel more akin to a private members club than a hotel, with its discreet front door only accessible to residents, Bedford Corner Hotel doesn’t fight for attention in today’s abundant London hotel space, but sits quietly and confidently, delivering an unobtrusive yet attentive service you’ll love.

Situated in Bloomsbury, the literary capital of London, and within a pleasant stroll of tonnes of incredible restaurants, theatres, museums and galleries, Bedford Corner Hotel is your home from home for as long as you choose to chill with us.

Designed with our neighbourhood and guests in mind — Welcome to Bedford Corner Hotel.
